Proposal: Serving the Community Through Food

For the final feature story project, I will be highlighting Ginger Jones, a business owner in Slippery Rock. She has an interesting biography that includes operating a business from her home and expanding that business to its own stand-alone facility to keep up with the increasing demand. The feature will talk about where she found her love for home cooking and healthy meals, and how her business, Meals by Ginger ,came to life.

As supplementary material, I will be interviewing Ginger and taking videos of her serving the community in her store. Additionally, I will add in photos of some of the dishes she creates and the facility that she operates in.

I think that this feature story will be particularly interesting to Slippery Rock students because Meals by Ginger is located in Slippery Rock and is operated by a local who has lived in the area for many years. Ginger's passion about what she does will also make it an interesting piece.
